Shanghai's best and brightest culinary stars will be taking over the Bund-side hotspot Bar Rouge for a night of recognition and networking, and this is your last chance to grab a ticket! You did the voting, so come join your favorite chefs and industry icons in a celebration of all things delicious. There will, of course, be plenty to drink.

Sep 13: Mild High Club

Los Angeles based psychedilc pop band are coming through for a show at Yuyintang. Their relaxed sound is backed by Railway Suicide Club for a show that'll have you swaying through the night.

Sep 14: Yat-Kha

Founded in 1991, this rock band from Tuva has been making music for almost 30 years. Combining folk with post-modern rhythms and kargyaa, or Mongolian throat singing, they combine elements of various cultures for a sound that is truly unique. They're here as part of the Stallion Music Festival out of Beijing, so head to 247tickets and search 'Stallion Music Festival' for a full line up of events across the city.

Sep 14: Battle at the Silver Dragon

Surf's up at Shanghai Slim's this week. They're screening Battle at the Silver Dragon with happy hour prices offered during the show. Join famous Aussie surf legend Peter Townend in this film about our neighbor Hangzhou's riptide culture.

Sep 14-15: BalletBoyz: Life.

These elegant and innovative dancers and choreographers, known for wearing matching bunny masks, will showcase their talent and give the audience a new definition of ballet. This is gonna be tight(s).

Sep 15: Hitobashira’s Album Release Show

This thrash groove metal band is celebrating the release of their second album with a show at Yuyintang, with Shanghai's experimental punk darling Dirty Fingers and three other bands on the. Ticket includes a free copy of the album. Expect plenty of cheap drinks and giveaways. The 13th they'll have a listening party at Inferno too, so be sure to hit that up for something a little more intimate.

Sep 15: Sausage Fest

With BBQ season coming to a close, what better way to round it out than with a whole lot of sausage and beer? With food from Shanghai favorites like The Blind Pig, Cages, Liquid Laundry and Boulevard Brewing Co., there'll be plenty of music and activities to keep you grillin' all day, so come hungry and leave happy.

Known for emerging acts and a wide range of music, expect to hear everything from city-folk to bubblegum trap at the fourth edition of this Shanghai-born festival. Theyíve even got a whole separate lineup for kids, making it a family-friendly event.
